NON CHALLANT ATTITUDE, THE BANE OF NIGERIA’S ECONOMIC
CHALLENGES - SEAP
Entrepreneurs have been advised to be
prudent and remain focus to overcome the ongoing economic recession.
The Executive Programme Director of the
Self-Reliance Economic Advancement Program, SEAP, Pastor Olatunde Oladokun, who
gave the advice while featuring on Radio Nigeria Harmony FM Programme, Kwara on
the Move, said the economic recession had been taking its toll on the masses
due to lack of infrastructure and preference for foreign goods.
Pastor Oladokun said the challenges
confronting the country was due to nonchalant attitude of government and the governed.
He lamented that lack of electricity,
good roads and other infrastructural amenities as factors militating against
success of entrepreneurship in Nigeria.
Pastor Oladokun enjoined business owners
and artisans to reduce expenses, diversify, rebrand their products or services
and be mindful of how they sell on credit.
While calling on people to believe in
themselves and be productive, the Financial Expert implored civil servants to
look inward and start small scale
businesses so that they will not rely on salary alone.
Pastor Oladokun said SEAP had been
existing in the last sixteen years with the aim of eradicating poverty by
giving credit facilities to groups as government can not do it alone. READ MORE
