WE HELD OUR NATIONAL CONVENTION DESPITE POLICE

The Police may have sealed off the Sharks Stadium venue of the Peoples
Democratic Party’s (PDP) National Convention, but the party says this action
did not stop it from holding the exercise.
This is
according to the spokesman of the Ahmed Makarfi-led Caretaker Committee, Mr
Dayo Adeyeye who insisted that holding the convention outside the earlier
planned venue does not invalidate it.
Speaking to
Channels Television in Port Harcourt, Mr. Adeyeye confirmed that the tenure of
the Makarfi Caretaker Committee has been extended by one year.Read more
