COMPETENT P.R.O NEEDED
TO REPORT ISLAMIC EVENTS IN THE MEDIA – MUSLIM MEDIA WATCH GROUP
Islamic Organizations have been called upon to give
maximum support to their Public Relations Officers and Publicity Secretaries on
the performance of their duties as Image-Makers of their Organizations.
The National Coordinator of Muslim Media Watch Group
of Nigeria, Alh. Abdullahi Ibrahim made the call while inaugurating the Paper
Presentation Committee of the Group in preparation for the maiden National
Conference of the Group scheduled to hold in Ilorin, Kwara State in October
this year.
According to him, most Islamic Bodies do not feature
sufficiently in the news bulletin of Media Organizations because they do not
appoint or elect competent and qualified people as Publicity Secretaries and
Public Relations Officers, hence reportage of Islamic events are always very
low especially in the print and electronic media. Read more
